Points are not triggering rewards

I cannot trigger my rewards using the points system.
I can get rewards to trigger using other metrics, for e.g. visits.

We tested rewards, have had users sign up, reach the reward level and beyond, but no emails received. Nothing in the spam box or inbox for the reward. Also no log of the reward email being sent in the List of Recent Activity list.
When the user logs into the contest, it does in fact show the points above the reward level, and also shows the next reward in the box that was showing the 1st reward, that they should have already received.

you ever get anyone to reply to you on this, seems very bad that after 2 months they've not fixed this problem, as we have this problem still present today...

I’ve contacted 2x with promise it will be in next update. But no fix.
